Daytona Beach is home to a culturally diverse community. Residents and tourists have embraced Daytona Beach performing arts for its eclectic selection of entertainment choices. Daytona is home to several top notch performing arts venues that have a long history of excellence.

Peabody Auditorium – The Peabody Auditorium was opened in 1949 and has hosted concerts by some of the most influential artists in music history. From Elvis Presley, Ray Charles and Willie Nelson, to Tony Bennett, James Taylor and Dave Brubeck, legends have graced this stage. The world famous London Symphony Orchestra has been returning to the Peabody Auditorium for over 30 years. There are 2,521 seats and all of them provide an amazing view and take advantage of the amazing acoustics in the room. We are lucky to have such an amazing performing arts venue in our backyard.

News-Journal Center at Daytona State College – The News-Journal Center features two performing arts venues inside the same facility. The 859 seat Josephine Field Davidson Theater venue is home to the Seaside Music Theatre. The 264 seat Elaine & Thurman Gillespy Jr. Theatre offers patrons an intimate viewing experience. The News-Journal Center is a state-of-the-art, contemporary performance venue in the heart of Daytona Beach.

Daytona Beach Bandshell – Built in 1937, the Daytona Beach Bandshell is a local landmark. Built using coquina (a native rock made up of shells), the Bandshell has hosted some of the biggest musical artists in the world. Country music artists Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts have all taped live performances for television at the Bandshell. The Bandshell hosts live concerts every Friday and Saturday night during late-spring and summer and additional performances throughout the year. Located adjacent to the Ocean Walk Shoppes, the Bandshell is smack dab in the middle of a bustling entertainment complex.
